15MCC Zambia & Confucius Institute at University of Zambia Host "Chinese + Mining" Order-Oriented Class Progress Review

On October 8th local time, the Zambia Regional Headquarters of the 15MCC, in collaboration with the Confucius Institute at the University of Zambia (ZAN University Confucius Institute), held a summary meeting of the achievements of the "Chinese + Mining" order class training stage at the Zan University Confucius Institute. Bunda Besa,the representative of the School of Mining at the University of Zambia, Fan Guoping, the Chinese director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Zambia, Li Wenjie, the general manager of the Zambia Regional Headquarters of the 15MCC, Li Hongfang, the deputy general manager of 15MCC, and Melvin Bwalya, the senior Zambian manager of 15MCC, attended and delivered speeches. About 30 people, including 18 students from the first batch of the targeted training class and representatives of relevant teachers and students, participated.

Melvin Bwalya, the senior Zambian manager of 15MCC, drawing on the company's in-depth development process and technological innovation achievements, encouraged trainees to delve deeply into their specialties and keep up with the cutting-edge with his own growth experiences. Li Hongfang,the deputy general manager of 15MCC centering on "seizing opportunities" and "enhancing capabilities", encouraged the trainees to take Chinese as their professional competitiveness and apply what they have learned. Fan Guoping,the Chinese director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Zambia congratulated all the trainees on passing the HSK Level 1 exam with excellent results. While affirming the teaching achievements, he also put forward learning requirements, encouraging the trainees to grow into talents needed by the industry and contribute to the mining cooperation between China and Zambia.

Li Wenjie,the general manager of the Zambia Regional Headquarters of the 15MCC emphasized that talent is the primary resource for the development of an enterprise. He pointed out that the "Chinese + Mining" order class is an innovative practice of localizing and professionalizing talent, aiming to cultivate compound mining talents who "understand Chinese, master technology and are well-versed in culture", providing human resource support for China-Zambia cooperation. He said that learning Chinese can reduce cross-cultural communication barriers, encouraged the trainees to delve into their specialties and embrace innovation, and invited them to attend the second Zambia Mining Conference held concurrently to learn about cutting-edge equipment and technologies.

During the event, the trainees experienced the strength and vision of the 15MCC through the company's promotional video. At the symposium, they interacted and exchanged views on holiday internships, career planning and other topics. After the meeting, the attending leaders jointly presented customized schoolbags to the trainees.

This summary meeting marks the implementation of the phased achievements of the order class, deepens the school-enterprise collaborative education model, and builds a platform for the joint cultivation of talents and technological research between China and Zambia in the mining industry.
