To celebrate the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival and enrich the cultural life of overseas employees in their spare time, on the morning of October 5th , the 15MCC Africa Company (Zambia Regional Headquarters) organized and held the "Iron Army Cup" staff basketball game to welcome the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival at the Chambishi Campus.
A total of four teams were formed to participate in this event, namely the basketball team of the African Company's headquarters, the basketball team of Luanshya Mining, the joint basketball team of the Mining Company and the Design Institute, and the basketball team of the Chambishi Project Department. The competition adopts a draw system and is carried out in the form of elimination in the preliminary and semi-final rounds, ultimately determining the winning team of the "Iron Army Cup" basketball tournament. On the court, the players of each team were full of energy and worked in perfect harmony. They passed the ball, broke through and shot in one fluid motion. During the transitions between offense and defense, their competitive spirit was fully displayed. The cheers and encouragement from the audience rose and fell in succession, creating a lively atmosphere.
After a fierce competition, the representative team of the administrative department finally won the title of the "Iron Army Cup" winning team. After the competition, the company distributed souvenirs to the participants to encourage their active participation.
In addition to the exciting basketball games, during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival, homemade moon-cake making and barbecue parties were also held simultaneously. The employees gathered together to knead the dough and fill the fillings, making moon cakes with the flavor of "home" by hand. Beside the barbecue grill, smoke rose from the sky. Meat skewers and vegetables sizzled over the charcoal fire. Everyone ate and chatted, sharing the reunion moment of the Double Festivals in the midst of delicious food and laughter.
This series of cultural and sports activities not only enabled the employees to celebrate the festivals together through sports during the double holidays, but also enhanced team cohesion through competition, adding vitality and color to their overseas work and life.
